Now here's something I didn't know. (Can you tell I'm not a 'sea' person?)
Like most fish, sea dragons swim horizontally rather than in a vertical position, like seahorses.I discovered this in Museum Victoria's blog about dragons to celebrate the Year of the Dragon.

I visited Melbourne recently from northern NSW, and was most impressed with both the Melbourne Museum and the Melbourne Aquarium. The Aquarium has a tank with live seadragons (weedy and leafy) swimming mostly horizontally, but with an up or down slant. I learned to scuba-dive in South Australia, but never saw one - they are very well camouflaged in the weeds.
