A sand dune
Luritja Road, Northern Territory. It's the bitumen road to Kings Canyon and very busy at this time of the year. We stopped for a cuppa near some spinfex-covered sand dunes with sheoaks providing shade. As usual I went wandering with my camera and found lots of flowering plants on the red dunes and the Painted Lady butterflies had found them before me. There were dozens flitting over the flowers and caterpillars feeding on the plants as well.
